(G)I-DLE are bringing a softer, nostalgic charm to their upcoming Japanese release.
On September 26, Cube Entertainment unveiled the music video teaser for Doushiyokkana ("What Should I Do"), the title track of their Japanese EP i-dle.
Nostalgic Visual Storytelling
The teaser shows Soyeon stepping off a bus with a suitcase in hand, walking into a quiet village. The vintage tones and gentle imagery create a lyrical, analog mood that highlights a different side of the group.
Just a day earlier, the Japanese version of I Hate Being Sick—a song that became a viral "reverse-hit" in Korea—was pre-released, immediately drawing attention from fans eager for the new project.
Packed with Five Tracks
The new EP will feature five songs in total, including Doushiyokkana, Aisarenakatta Sekai e Eien ni Jaane ("Goodbye Forever to a World I Couldn't Love"), Invisible, and Japanese versions of hits like Queencard and I Hate Being Sick.
Release Date
(G)I-DLE's Japanese EP i-dle is set to drop on October 3 across major music platforms.
Would you like me to add a note about how Japanese releases remain a crucial part of K-pop groups' global strategies, especially in strengthening ties with one of the largest music markets?
