Huntrix from K-pop Demon Hunters is set to deliver a special live stage in the U.S.
On September 29, "The Tonight Show" announced via social media that voice actors Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami, and others will appear on October 7 for an interview and the first live performance of "Golden." All three are part of the voice cast of Huntrix.
Special Teaser with Mascot Characters
The show also released a teaser clip featuring the animation's mascots, Duffy and Suzy. In the video, the characters hand host Jimmy Fallon a glowing blue invitation card marked with the date "K-pop Demon Hunters October 7." Fallon excitedly bolted from his dressing room after receiving it—only to accidentally knock over a trash can on his way out.
The clip humorously ties back to Duffy's personality in the series, as the character is known for becoming fixated whenever something falls over. True to form, Duffy's eyes sparkled when he noticed the toppled trash can.
Global Phenomenon of K-pop Demon Hunters
K-pop Demon Hunters is a Netflix original animation that fuses K-pop, Korean traditional culture, and fantasy action. The show has become a worldwide sensation, ranking No. 1 in Netflix's all-time viewership for films and series combined.
The soundtrack has also dominated global music charts. In particular, "Golden" has held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks and continues its reign atop the Streaming Songs chart for ten straight weeks.
