ILLIT has achieved another milestone in Japan with their streaming records.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) recently announced its latest list of streaming certifications. ILLIT's track "Lucky Girl Syndrome," from their first mini album, received a Gold certification after surpassing 50 million streams. RIAJ awards certifications monthly: Gold for 50 million streams, Platinum for 100 million, and Diamond for 500 million.
A Dance-Pop Hit with Positive Vibes
Released in March last year, "Lucky Girl Syndrome" is a dance-pop song featuring a playful whistle theme. Its lyrics about small but meaningful strokes of luck deliver an uplifting and positive message, resonating with listeners worldwide.
Three Certified Tracks in Japan
With this achievement, ILLIT now holds three certified songs in Japan. Their debut track "Magnetic" earned a Double Platinum certification (200 million streams) just 10 months after release, while their first original Japanese track "Almond Chocolate" received a Gold certification only five months after launch—the fastest certification ever for a foreign artist's song in Japan.
Expanding Global Recognition
Meanwhile, ILLIT's song "little monster," from their third mini album, has been nominated in the Production Design category at Germany's 2025 Sislopé Awards, further highlighting their growing international recognition.
