Actor Song Kang has completed his military service and is officially discharged today.
Song enlisted as an active-duty soldier in April 2024 and faithfully served for one year and six months. After completing basic training, he carried out his duties diligently until his discharge on October 1.
Updates During Service
In December last year, Song appeared in a promotional video for the Army Counseling Center's "Defense Help Call," where he played a role in a counseling scene, giving fans a brief glimpse of his time in uniform.
Career Highlights Before and During Enlistment
Song Kang debuted in 2017 with the drama The Liar and His Lover and later rose to fame with popular series such as Love Alarm, Nevertheless, and My Demon.
Even during his enlistment, projects featuring him were released. He reprised his role as Cha Hyun-soo in Netflix's Sweet Home Season 3, delivering an impactful performance, and also made a special appearance in the film Escape.
Looking Ahead
Currently, Song is reviewing options for his next project. In June, his agency Namoo Actors confirmed that he is considering the drama Four Hands among other offers. Fans are eagerly awaiting his post-military return to the screen.
