TWICE's Jeongyeon will not be able to perform at the group's upcoming concert in the Philippines.
On October 2, JYP Entertainment announced through the fan platform FANZZ that Jeongyeon would be absent from the group's THIS IS FOR world tour stop in Bulacan on October 4. "Due to health reasons, Jeongyeon will not be able to participate in the concert. We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been waiting a long time. The decision was made inevitably, prioritizing the artist's health and recovery. We kindly ask for your understanding," the statement read.
Despite this absence, Jeongyeon is scheduled to rejoin the rest of the world tour. TWICE will continue to Singapore on October 11, followed by stops in Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand, before moving on to North America in 2026.
Jeongyeon has previously faced health challenges. In 2020, she underwent neck disc surgery, which forced her to halt activities. She made a comeback in June 2021 but temporarily stepped back again after experiencing anxiety and panic disorder symptoms.
Meanwhile, TWICE will release their 10th-anniversary special album TEN: The Story Goes On on October 10.
