Major League Baseball (MLB) has chosen rookie K-pop group Cortis to soundtrack its postseason hype.
On October 1 (KST), MLB uploaded a postseason promo video on TikTok featuring Cortis' debut album intro track GO!. The clip included the phrase, "Time to color outside the lines," a direct nod to the group's first EP Color Outside the Lines.
The track will accompany highlight reels from the National League Wild Card Series, the official kickoff to the postseason. The buzz was further amplified as LA Dodgers' Kim Hye-Sung made headlines for being on the starting roster.
For Cortis, having their music featured in MLB's promotional content is a rare feat for a rookie K-pop group and signals their growing recognition in the U.S. market.
The group has already been making waves internationally. Their debut album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 15 (Sept. 27 chart) and their track GO! climbed to No. 175 on the Billboard Global 200. Spotify data shows that 17.4% of their 6.4 million monthly listeners are from the United States, underlining their rapid overseas traction.
MLB confirmed that GO! will continue to feature across postseason highlights, TV spots, podcasts, and radio broadcasts throughout the playoffs.
