Bang Chan of Stray Kids marked his birthday with a meaningful act of kindness.
On October 3, Bang Chan donated ₩200 million (approx. $145,000) to two organizations: ₩100 million to Samsung Seoul Hospital and another ₩100 million to UNICEF Korea. His contribution will help cover treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients at Samsung Seoul Hospital, while UNICEF will use the funds to support children's health, nutrition, clean water, sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief worldwide—especially in the most vulnerable areas.
With this donation, Bang Chan was inducted into the UNICEF Honors Club, a high-value donor circle. He shared, "Thanks to the love from fans, I was able to share my heart in this way. I hope it helps children dream of a brighter tomorrow."
This is not his first philanthropic gesture. For his birthday last year, Bang Chan donated ₩100 million to Community Chest of Korea, aiding athletes with developmental disabilities, and was named a member of the Honor Society, the nation's major donor recognition program.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will hold their encore world tour concerts Dominate : Celebrate at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on October 18–19.
