Singer-actor Rowoon is set to take his first step into Japan's film industry.
FNC Entertainment announced on October 6, "Rowoon is expanding into Japan. He has been cast in the upcoming Japanese film Last Man: First Love."
The movie is a big-screen adaptation of the popular TBS drama Last Man: The Blind Investigator and is scheduled for release on December 24.
Rowoon will portray Clyde Yoon, an FBI investigator. The production team shared, "Yoon is a strong-willed and intense character. Rowoon was the only one who could bring him to life."
This marks Rowoon's first appearance in a Japanese film. "It was a new challenge, but I've always wanted to experience acting in a different culture," he said, adding, "I'm truly looking forward to it."
He also asked for fans' anticipation: "Clyde Yoon is a man full of passion for success. Please look forward to how his story unfolds."
Rowoon has already gained massive popularity in Japan through his Korean drama roles in The King's Affection, Destined With You, and Turbid Stream. Building on that momentum, he held a fan meeting in Tokyo this past May and will host two additional sessions on October 7.
