QWER is reimagining a beloved anthem from Korea's legendary rock band, YB (Yoon Do-hyun Band).

Tamago Production announced on October 6 that QWER would release the special single "Whale (흰수염고래)" at 6 p.m. KST through various music platforms.

Originally released in 2011 by YB, "Whale" carries a message about staying steadfast and true to one's path, much like a blue whale journeying across vast seas.

QWER infused the song with their own color and energy, adding a comforting message of courage and hope — "to overcome fear and move forward into a wider world."

Before its digital release, QWER unveiled the track live during the third show of their first world tour in Seoul, where their emotional performance drew an enthusiastic response.

Their agency stated, "QWER pays tribute to YB's legacy — a band that sang of resistance and unity in Korean rock history — and takes that spirit as a compass to sail into broader horizons."

The single "Whale" and its accompanying performance video will both be released at 6 p.m. today.
