SEVENTEEN's special unit, S.Coups X Mingyu, has officially broken the K-pop unit album first-week sales record.
According to Hanteo Chart, their first mini album "HYPE VIBES", released on September 29, sold 887,581 copies in its first seven days. This marks the highest first-week sales ever recorded for a K-pop unit album.
The previous record was held by SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan X Wonwoo with their single album "THIS MAN," which sold 780,000 copies.
"HYPE VIBES" topped charts across Asia immediately upon release. It ranked No.1 on album charts in Korea, Japan, and China, maintaining the top spot on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking for three consecutive days.
In China, the album swept both the daily and weekly charts on QQ Music's Digital Best-Selling Album (EP) category, also earning a Triple Gold certification for surpassing 750,000 yuan in sales.
The title track "5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman)" also dominated digital platforms, peaking at No.1 on Bugs' real-time chart. Every track from the album entered Melon's Top 100, proving the duo's powerful popularity.
