Brown Eyed Soul's agency has refuted former member Sung Hoon's recent allegations.

Longplay Music released an official statement on Instagram on October 7, clarifying that "several parts of Sung Hoon's post are not true."

Earlier that day, Sung Hoon wrote on social media, "I never decided to leave the group. I wanted to protect it until the end," adding, "The CEO even banned me from doing YouTube. He told me to kneel and beg Naul if I wanted to continue."

According to Longplay Music, the situation was more complicated. "During the pandemic and due to members' health issues, activities were suspended for a long period. Sung Hoon began experiencing emotional instability and received professional counseling and treatment," the company explained.

Departure Triggered by "Inappropriate Conduct"

The agency stated that Sung Hoon's departure stemmed from "inappropriate remarks and actions." "Sung Hoon sent personally offensive messages to the members and their families," they revealed. "We advised him to take time off and focus on recovery."

Longplay Music emphasized that it had fully supported Sung Hoon's solo album production and YouTube activities, but his situation did not improve. "We eventually concluded that continuing the group's activities together was no longer possible," they added.

Brown Eyed Soul's Next Chapter

The agency continued, "After mutual discussions, we terminated the exclusive contract with Sung Hoon and decided he would leave the group. However, as misinformation continues to spread, we felt the need to clarify the facts."

They concluded, "As colleagues who shared many years together, we sincerely wish for Sung Hoon's stability. But if false information harms our artists' reputations, we will take strong legal action."

Brown Eyed Soul now continues as a three-member group consisting of Naul, Youngjun, and Jungyup. The trio released their fifth full-length album Soul Tricycle on September 23 and will hold a year-end concert at Gocheok Sky Dome on December 24, 25, and 27.
