Comic Action with a Twist
The Boss tells the story of gang members who compete — and at the same time yield — for the title of the next boss, each driven by their own personal dreams. The film offers a fresh and humorous take on the typical gangster genre, replacing bloody rivalry with absurd generosity.
Box Office Rivals
Meanwhile, Park Chan-wook's No Choice and Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc (directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara) followed behind with 1.04 million and 780,000 admissions respectively, rounding out a competitive Chuseok box office lineup.
