Dayoung of WJSN (Cosmic Girls) is proving her power as a solo artist, taking over major domestic music charts with her debut single.

Dayoung released her first digital single "Gonna Love Me, Right?" on September 9, featuring the title track "Body." As of 9 a.m. on October 10, "Body" ranked No. 10 on Melon's Top 100 and No. 5 on the Hot 100 (based on 100 days after release). On Bugs, the song reached No. 2 on the real-time chart and No. 4 on the daily chart as of October 9.

Her presence is also strong on short-form platforms. "Body" entered TikTok's Top 50 sound chart (as of October 9) and landed at No. 9 on YouTube Shorts' daily popular song chart (October 8). Between September 26 and October 2, it ranked No. 13 on the platform's weekly popular chart.

"Body" blends punchy beats and an addictive hook with Dayoung's refreshing vocals. Through this track, she showcases a new artistic identity—challenging herself not only in vocals but also in performance, rap, and styling.

On music programs, she delivered live stages filled with authenticity and polish from nine years of experience. On September 23, she took home her first music-show trophy on SBS funE's "The Show."

Her solo debut has also drawn global attention. Forbes, NME, and FOX 13 Seattle highlighted her success, while MTV channels across the United States, the U.K., Germany, and Japan featured her achievements.
