Lee Junho and Kim Min-ha are bringing the struggles and hopes of the late 1990s to life in tvN's new weekend drama Typhoon Company, which premieres tonight. The cast and crew encouraged viewers to tune in for the emotional first episode.

In the series, Lee Junho plays Kang Tae-poong, a rookie CEO of Typhoon Company. He described the show as "a story full of excitement, nostalgia, empathy, and warmth — even though the company has no employees, no money, and nothing to sell."

He expressed confidence that the series will appeal to audiences across generations: "It's a drama not only for those who lived through 1997 but also for those who never experienced that era."

Kim Min-ha plays Oh Mi-sun, an ace accountant with big dreams of becoming a successful career woman. She shared, "There are so many nostalgic and heartfelt moments that will remind viewers of that time."

The production team highlighted the show's emotional range and realism: "The first episode captures the atmosphere right before the 1997 IMF financial crisis, telling the story of people who held on to one another to survive." They added, "Expect laughter, tears, empathy, and comfort — all intertwined."

Typhoon Company premieres October 11 at 9:10 p.m. (KST) on tvN. To accompany its broadcast, the production is also running a nationwide campaign titled 'Cheer Up Korea with Typhoon Company', where viewers' messages of support will be converted into donations.
