A new fantasy romance unfolds from the famed Hong Sisters
Actor Lee Do-hyun and Cynthia will star together in the Hong Sisters' latest Netflix series, Grand Galaxy Hotel, a mysterious and emotional fantasy romance.
The next chapter from the creators of 'Hotel Del Luna'
Netflix confirmed the production of Grand Galaxy Hotel on October 13, with a star-studded lineup including Lee Do-hyun, Cynthia, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Lee Su-hyun.
The story centers on a hotel that comforts wandering souls — the finest of its kind in the spirit world — where a new CEO with a secret past meets a fearless human hotel manager who isn't afraid of ghosts. When the hotel's former president mysteriously disappears, an unexpected series of events begins.
The drama is penned by the Hong Sisters, the hitmaking duo behind Sassy Girl Chun-hyang, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, The Greatest Love, Master's Sun, and Alchemy of Souls. Known for their distinct characters and imaginative world-building, they are set to deliver another richly layered universe.
Emotional direction and star power
Director Oh Choong-hwan, recognized for his emotionally driven style in Doctors, While You Were Sleeping, Start-Up, Castaway Diva, and Netflix's Melo Movie, will lead the production.
This project marks a reunion between the Hong Sisters and Oh Choong-hwan since Hotel Del Luna (2019). Lee Do-hyun, who previously portrayed "Go Chung-myung" opposite IU's "Jang Man-wol" in that series, returns this time as the male lead.
A hauntingly charming cast
Lee Do-hyun plays Eun-ha, the newly appointed CEO of the Grand Galaxy Hotel — a man with a mysterious past and a sharp, guarded personality. This marks his first drama since completing military service.
Cynthia takes on the role of Sang-soon, the hotel's only human staff member and its determined general manager, who manages both ghostly and mortal guests with unmatched professionalism and empathy.
Lee Soo-hyuk appears as Baek-gi, a reaper who cleanses the remnants of evil spirits, exuding a free-spirited charm, while Lee Su-hyun transforms into Seok-san, a dangerous yet alluring woman shrouded in mystery.
Grand Galaxy Hotel promises to combine emotional storytelling, supernatural fantasy, and visual splendor — continuing the legacy of Hotel Del Luna with a fresh twist for a new generation of viewers.
