"A man whose life was shattered begins his relentless pursuit of justice."
Actor Ji Chang-wook transforms into a man consumed by vengeance in the upcoming Disney+ original series Fragmented City (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Park Shin-woo and Kim Chang-joo).
A gripping revenge thriller unfolds
On October 13, Disney+ unveiled new stills of Ji Chang-wook, showcasing the emotional and psychological range of his character.
Fragmented City is an action-packed drama following Park Tae-jung (played by Ji Chang-wook), an ordinary man whose peaceful life crumbles after he becomes entangled in a heinous crime and is wrongfully imprisoned. The story traces his desperate quest for revenge against Yohan (played by D.O. / Do Kyung-soo), the man who orchestrated his downfall.
A man pushed to the edge
Tae-jung is portrayed as a hardworking, upright youth who suddenly loses everything — his freedom, his future, and his identity. While enduring life behind bars, he realizes he has been framed and begins plotting a calculated path toward revenge.
The newly released stills contrast two sides of the character: his once serene life and his descent into rage and determination. Ji Chang-wook's fierce expressions and piercing gaze capture the raw intensity of a man driven by vengeance.
Ji described his character, saying, "Tae-jung runs forward with nothing but revenge in his heart. The drama will show how he gradually becomes stronger, colder, and more unyielding."
Global release schedule
Fragmented City will premiere on November 5, launching with its first four episodes, followed by two new episodes every week.
With its dark emotional depth, high-octane action, and Ji Chang-wook's powerful performance, Fragmented City is poised to be one of Disney+ Korea's most anticipated thrillers of 2025.
