Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho will star in Assassins, a gripping historical thriller tracing the mystery behind the 8.15 shooting incident.

The film's production team revealed the full cast lineup on October 16. Directed by Hur Jin-ho, Assassins began filming in August and is currently in production.

Set against a pivotal chapter in modern Korean history, the movie follows the intertwined fates of those entangled in a shocking national event. Yoo Hae-jin plays a seasoned police inspector who witnessed the shooting firsthand, driven by sharp instincts and relentless determination.

Park Hae-il portrays a newspaper editor who dives into the investigation despite mounting pressure and danger, reuniting with director Hur Jin-ho after their previous collaboration on The Last Princess.

Lee Min-ho takes on the role of a rookie reporter, an ambitious newcomer whose courage propels him to uncover hidden truths.

The film brings together a powerhouse creative team, including cinematographer Lee Mo-gae (Exhuma, Seoul's Spring) and lighting director Lee Sung-hwan. Produced by Hive Media Corp, Assassins is expected to deliver a tense, cinematic portrayal of truth, loyalty, and the cost of uncovering secrets in a turbulent era.
