Lim Ji-yeon is set to charm audiences in an all-new role — this time, as a passionate entertainment journalist in tvN's upcoming Monday–Tuesday drama Annoying Love (written by Jung Yeo-rang, directed by Kim Ga-ram).
On October 16, the production team unveiled the first still cuts of Lim as Wi Jung-shin, a once-promising political reporter who gets dismissed after being caught up in a corruption scandal, only to find herself reassigned to the entertainment desk.
The stills capture Jung-shin's contrasting worlds — one as a sharp, ambitious political journalist immersed in field investigations, proudly holding her "Youngest Reporter Award," and another as a bewildered entertainment reporter waiting at an airport with her phone in hand, covering celebrity arrivals and departures.
Lim Ji-yeon shared that she was drawn to the refreshing tone of the project. "After doing several heavy dramas, I felt I needed something light and uplifting. The rom-com genre gave me that spark again," she explained.
Describing her character, she added, "Wi Jung-shin grows through endless trials and clashes with people around her. I focused on portraying her transformation and inner resilience."
Annoying Love follows the comical and heartwarming chemistry between Wi Jung-shin and A-list actor Lim Hyun-jun (played by Lee Jung-jae), a once-beloved star who has lost his passion. Together, they rediscover purpose and laughter in unexpected ways.
The drama premieres on November 3 at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN.
