Actors Lee Jung-jae, Lim Ji-yeon, Kim Ji-hoon, and Seo Ji-hye are ready to showcase their colorful characters in tvN's upcoming Monday–Tuesday drama Petty Love (written by Jung Yeo-rang, directed by Kim Ga-ram).
On October 17, the production team released "profession posters" highlighting each character's distinct identity — actor Im Hyun-jun (Lee Jung-jae), journalist Wi Jung-shin (Lim Ji-yeon), former baseball star Lee Jae-hyung (Kim Ji-hoon), and entertainment editor Yoon Hwa-young (Seo Ji-hye).
Petty Love tells the story of a top celebrity who has lost his way and an entertainment journalist obsessed with justice, engaging in a fierce battle of egos, truth bombs, and breaking stereotypes. It's a witty clash between a superstar and a reporter.
Lee Jung-jae embodies a national actor sitting confidently in a chair engraved with "Actor Im Hyun-jun," exuding the aura of a seasoned star. His character, famed for playing "Kang Pil-gu" across four successful drama seasons, faces a rollercoaster of events that shake up his once-stable career.
Lim Ji-yeon transforms into Wi Jung-shin, a sharp and tenacious journalist nicknamed the "T-type Ace." Once a star political reporter, she suddenly finds herself reassigned to the entertainment desk — with a mysterious "Good Cop Kang Pil-gu" merchandise tucked inside her bag.
Kim Ji-hoon plays Lee Jae-hyung, a former baseball hero who now runs Sports Eunseong. Known for his gentle and thoughtful nature, he's loved by the public — until Wi Jung-shin's unexpected presence throws his life into chaos, leading to a story of second chances both in work and love.
Seo Ji-hye portrays Yoon Hwa-young, the youngest-ever entertainment editor at Sports Eunseong. With her razor-sharp words and relentless pursuit of exclusives, she's a "killer pen" in the newsroom — but Jung-shin's arrival triggers unexpected emotional turmoil.
Producers teased, "Petty Love will explore the intertwined fates of four people connected through the noisy world of entertainment, delivering both laughter and empathy through their distinctive personalities and stories."
