Actors Kim Nam-gil and Park Bo-gum are set to bring the turbulent history of the Joseon dynasty to life on the big screen.

On October 17, the production team of Dream of a Peach Blossom Land (Mongyudo Wendoh, directed by Jang Hoon) revealed its main cast lineup: Kim Nam-gil as Prince Suyang, Park Bo-gum as Prince Anpyeong, and Lee Hyun-wook as the painter Ahn Gyeon.

The film centers on the legendary painting Dream of a Peach Blossom Land, portraying a tragic tale of brotherhood and ambition — where the pursuit of an ideal world collides with the thirst for power.

Kim Nam-gil will play Suyang, a man consumed by his desire to become king. As he confronts the world depicted in his brother's painting, his ambition begins to twist him into a ruthless figure.

Park Bo-gum takes on the role of Anpyeong, an idealistic prince devoted to art and beauty. Driven by pure conviction, he stands against his brother's growing tyranny.

Lee Hyun-wook portrays Ahn Gyeon, the era's most gifted painter and Anpyeong's creative partner. Unwavering in his beliefs, Ahn Gyeon refuses to compromise his integrity even in the face of power.

The film is helmed by acclaimed director Jang Hoon, known for A Taxi Driver, The Front Line, and Secret Reunion. With Dream of a Peach Blossom Land, he aims to reinterpret Joseon's royal history through a fresh cinematic lens.

Dream of a Peach Blossom Land began filming on October 14 and is expected to be one of the most anticipated Korean historical epics of 2026.
