Actress Kang Ye Won is making her long-awaited comeback to film.

Kang has been cast in the movie Get Off My Island! directed by Lee Yong Seok. The AI-hybrid thriller centers around a mysterious murder that unfolds on an island inherited from a grandfather.

A Chilling Yet Comedic Role

Kang Ye Won plays Han Ae Ri, an insurance fraud killer who deliberately marries Chairman Oh, a wealthy real estate mogul, to seize his fortune. Her cold-blooded determination to kill for money heightens the film's tension, while her character's dark humor adds a unique twist.

Return of a Versatile Performer

Kang Ye Won has showcased a wide acting spectrum through films like Haeundae, Harmony, Hello Ghost, and The Mimic, as well as the drama Bad Guys. Get Off My Island! marks her first big-screen appearance in about six years since Watching.

Production began earlier this month, and the film is slated for international film festival submissions before its theatrical release.
