Jung Kyung Ho and So Ju Yeon are ready to step into their new legal roles.
tvN's upcoming weekend drama Pro Bono (written by Moon Yoo Seok, directed by Kim Sung Yoon) revealed its first script reading session on October 30. The cast included Jung Kyung Ho, So Ju Yeon, Yoon Na Moo, Seo Hye Won, and Kang Hyung Seok.
Pro Bono is a human legal drama that follows a self-centered judge obsessed with success who unexpectedly becomes a public interest lawyer, confined to a small pro bono team inside a massive law firm.
The reading hinted at strong chemistry and lively performances. Jung Kyung Ho takes the role of Kang Da Wit, a former judge turned lawyer who suddenly finds himself doing pro bono work. His signature charm and natural humor brought the conflicted character to life, filling the room with laughter.
So Ju Yeon plays Park Gi Ppeum, a passionate lawyer obsessed with legal detail and justice. Her bright energy perfectly matched the character's sharp, curious personality.
Yoon Na Moo, Seo Hye Won, and Kang Hyung Seok also join the firm's pro bono team, creating a dynamic mix of humor and realism through quick dialogue and expressive reactions.
The production team stated, "Even at their first reading, the actors showed impressive teamwork. We aim to deliver a legal drama that's both relatable and cathartic."
Pro Bono will premiere in December on tvN.
