According to international relief organization World Vision, Doyoung contributed ₩100 million (approximately $73,000 USD) to support the improvement of children's educational environments. The donation will fund the construction of a school in Bugondo Village, Mayuge District, Uganda — providing around 1,000 children with a better place to learn and dream.
Giving Back the Love Received
Earlier this year, Doyoung completed his Asia tour, performing in Seoul, Japan, Singapore, Macau, Thailand, and Taiwan, followed by encore concerts in October. Moved by the love and energy from global fans, he decided to give back through this donation.
World Vision shared, "Doyoung wanted to channel the warmth and inspiration he received on stage into the classrooms where children dream of a brighter future."
Doyoung expressed his gratitude, saying, "As I wrapped up my second tour, I wanted to return a small part of the love I received from fans around the world. I hope this new school becomes a starting point for the children's dreams."
Doyoung will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Korean Army on December 8. Fellow NCT member Jungwoo will also begin service the same day in the Army band. Both are scheduled to be discharged on June 7, 2027.
