TWS has achieved another milestone, proving their soaring popularity in Japan.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced its latest streaming certifications on October 31, confirming that TWS's debut track "Plot Twist (The First Meeting Didn't Go as Planned)" has officially earned Gold status, surpassing 50 million cumulative streams. The RIAJ awards Gold for over 50 million streams and Platinum for over 100 million.
Rising Power in Japan
Originally released in January 2024, "Plot Twist" became an instant hit thanks to its refreshing energy and youthful charm, establishing TWS as one of K-pop's most promising rookie groups.
Building on that success, TWS made their official Japanese debut in July with the single "Nice to See You Again (はじめまして)," which has sold over 250,000 copies. The group also launched their first local tour, "2025 TWS Tour 24/7: WITH:US in Japan," performing across six cities and drawing more than 50,000 fans.
Expanding Their Stage
Beyond their own shows, TWS appeared at major festivals, including Rock in Japan Festival 2025, and are set to perform at Countdown Japan 25/26 on December 27.
TWS is currently promoting their 4th mini album "Play Hard," continuing their upward momentum in both Korea and Japan.
