Singer Kangta is stepping into the role of record producer.

SM Entertainment announced on November 3 that Kangta has launched a new sub-label under the company titled SMArt, where he will serve as executive producer.

SMArt aims to bridge diverse music genres and continuously explore new creative directions, promising innovative sounds unlike anything heard before.

Its first project features singer-actor Im Si-wan, whose upcoming solo album will be fully produced under the new label. The release is scheduled for next month.

Kangta continues to prove his versatility beyond his H.O.T. days, having previously served as creative director and executive producer for multiple hit projects.

SM Entertainment added, "Kangta will be deeply involved in songwriting, mentoring new creators, and discovering fresh talent. Fans can look forward to the unique musical world he will build through SMArt."
