Singer Sung Si-kyung has opened up about the emotional turmoil caused by his former manager, known as A, revealing that the betrayal has left him deeply shaken — to the point that his year-end concert plans are now uncertain.
On November 3, Sung shared on Instagram, "The past few months have been extremely painful and difficult for me," expressing how the situation has affected both his mind and body.
He continued, "Experiencing broken trust from someone I cared for like family isn't something new in my 25 years of career — but even at this age, it doesn't get any easier."
Trying to stay composed, he admitted, "I didn't want to worry people or fall apart, so I tried to keep up with daily life and scheduled work. But I realized my body, mind, and voice were all taking damage."
He explained that this was the reason behind the delay in announcing his year-end concert schedule. "I've been asking myself whether I can, and whether I should, stand on stage again. I want to reach a place where I can confidently say, 'I'm okay.'"
Sung added, "I plan to make a final decision within this week and post an update. I'm sorry for worrying everyone, but I'm trying to believe this too shall pass."
His agency later confirmed, "A was found to have engaged in actions that betrayed the company's trust during employment. The individual has since resigned."
A had worked with Sung Si-kyung for nearly two decades, overseeing concerts, broadcasts, advertising, and promotions. According to reports, A has since changed their phone number and cut off contact.
