"I'm happiest when I sing," said Miyeon, radiating confidence at her comeback showcase.
Held on November 3 at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Hannam, Seoul, the event celebrated the release of her second mini-album MY, Lover — her first solo project in three and a half years since MY. While her debut explored identity, this new record unfolds the many shades of love.
Exploring Love Through Emotion and Story
The seven-track album delves into emotions from heartbreak and regret to devotion and healing. "I didn't plan to focus on love, but while expressing deeper feelings, the stories naturally connected through love," Miyeon explained.

She participated in songwriting and production, solidifying her position as a singer-songwriter. "Each track reflects a different side of love," she shared. "I wanted listeners to feel empathy and sincerity through every song."
Title Track 'Say My Name' and Artistic Growth
The title song Say My Name highlights Miyeon's strength in pop ballads, pairing delicate piano melodies with rhythmic beats and her signature clear vocals. She admitted, "Choosing the title track was hard — I felt pressured to do well, but I decided to just show myself as I am."
Known as the main vocalist of i-dle, Miyeon aimed for a calmer, more immersive delivery this time. Her live performance of Say My Name captivated audiences with emotional precision and powerful high notes.

A Bold Leap with 'Reno'
The pre-release track Reno (feat. Colde) explores love turning into obsession and eventual collapse. "It was intense for me," Miyeon recalled. "I wondered if it might feel too different from my image, but I believed in myself and wanted to take on the challenge."
A Multifaceted Album for Listeners
The album also features "F.F.L.Y," "Space Invader," "You and No One Else," "Petal Shower," and "Show," each showcasing diverse genres and moods. "Please listen to the album as a whole," Miyeon encouraged.
Reflecting on her journey, she said, "I felt pressure to do well, but I reminded myself of how much I've grown. This album is about expanding my spectrum and looking ahead."
She concluded warmly, "I'm happiest on stage. I hope fans can enjoy my music comfortably. I love you, Neverland."
MY, Lover was officially released at 6 p.m. on November 3.
