Actress Lee Si-young has welcomed her second child, a baby girl.

On November 5, Lee announced the news through Instagram, writing, "I believe this is a gift from God, and I'll make sure she lives a happy life forever," along with a photo taken shortly after giving birth.

A Personal and Courageous Decision

Lee revealed that her second child was conceived through embryo transfer with her ex-husband. The two divorced earlier this year. She decided to proceed with the transfer as their legal separation was being finalized — a choice she made despite her ex-husband's initial opposition.

"When all legal matters were nearly settled, the five-year storage period for our frozen embryo was coming to an end," she explained. "I had to make a choice before it was discarded, so I decided to proceed with the implantation myself."

Choosing Responsibility and Love

Lee will raise the child on her own. "Although my ex-partner didn't agree, I'm ready to take full responsibility for my decision," she shared. "I want to believe that what I chose is something truly meaningful."

Lee Si-young married a restaurateur in September 2017 and had her first son in January 2018. After eight years together, the couple divorced in March 2025.
