NCT's Jeno and Jaemin Take on Acting Roles in Youth Baseball Drama Wind Up
by. ymchoi

Jeno and Jaemin of NCT are stepping into the world of acting with an upcoming sports drama.

The duo will star in the short-form series Wind Up (written by Byun Jae Cheol, directed by Kim Sung Ho), set to premiere in the first half of next year. The drama depicts the pure friendship between a high school baseball pitcher and a transfer student, blending themes of sports, youth, and personal growth.

Jeno transforms into Woo Jin, a once-promising pitcher who can no longer throw a strike. Jaemin plays Tae Hee, a transfer student who unexpectedly appears before Woo Jin and offers to become his manager.

This marks Jeno's official acting debut, while Jaemin returns to the screen after previously starring in the 2019 JTBC4 drama The Way I Hate You, where he showcased a youthful charm. Through Wind Up, Jaemin is expected to deliver a more mature and emotional performance.

Director Kim Sung Ho, known for Netflix's Move to Heaven and KBS2's Bad Prosecutor, will lead the project. Wind Up is co-produced by SM Entertainment and TakeOne Company.
