CLOSE YOUR EYES returned stronger than ever, proving that their rise in K-pop is far from over.
The group held their showcase on November 11 at SBS Public Hall in Seoul to celebrate the release of their third mini-album BLACKOUT. Known for their fresh and youthful debut earlier this year, they now unveil a darker, more powerful side through explosive performances and confident storytelling.
Breaking Limits
Since debuting in April with the promise to "move hearts even with eyes closed," CLOSE YOUR EYES have delivered impressive milestones—topping a music show just six days after debut and achieving over 310,000 first-week album sales, ranking fifth among all-time boy group debuts.
"We came back with a completely different concept and prepared with everything we've got," said Jeon Min-wook. "This album will show how much we've grown and how we've broken through our limits."
Member Seo Kyung-bae added, "Like the title BLACKOUT, we wanted to show that we have no limits—there's nothing we can't do, anywhere."

Powerful Dual Title Tracks
The album features two title tracks, X and SOB. "X was written by Jeon Min-wook himself, and Kenshin participated in the choreography," revealed Song Seung-ho. Jeon noted, "The vocals intensify toward the climax, and Majingxiang's low-pitched whisper of 'X' adds a dramatic finish."
Kenshin shared, "I wanted to create a sexy, memorable move for fans. There's a part where we turn our backs—it's a key highlight."
The second title track, SOB, showcases sharp choreography with dancers, delivering an intense, almost charging energy. "It's a provocative track built around the English word 'sob,' meaning 'to cry,'" explained Seo Kyung-bae. "The lyrics say, 'You'll cry because you wanted to be like me.'"
The group also collaborated with Kazakh DJ Imanbek, a Grammy-winning producer. "It was an honor to work with him," said Jeon Min-wook. "I'm learning DJing these days, and this experience helped me grow musically."

Diverse Tracks and Global Ambitions
The album includes six songs in total. Chic captures their bold charisma, 2.0 expresses confidence in their leap forward, and Who's That? tells a dreamy, mysterious story of chasing an alluring figure.
Kenshin expressed hopes for global promotions: "We've been taking English lessons, and since X has an English version, we really want to perform in the U.S."
Chinese member Majingxiang added, "I love Korea so much that I want to perform in every city here," while Kim Sung-min said he dreams of performing in his hometown, Jeonju.
Moving Forward with Fans
CLOSE YOUR EYES reflected on their teamwork and gratitude toward fans. "Our first and second albums received so much love," said Jang Yeo-jun. "We wanted to make this comeback memorable for K-pop fans."
"We've spent almost every day meeting fans since debut, and it made us truly happy," said Jeon Min-wook. "That's why we couldn't wait to return."
Seo Kyung-bae wrapped up, "Please enjoy our new image. We'll keep breaking limits and keep running forward," while Song Seung-ho added, "We worked incredibly hard for this album, and we can't wait to show you how much we've grown."
