G-Dragon is set to make a powerful appearance at this year's Melon Music Awards (MMA2025), to be held at Gocheok Sky Dome.
On the 12th, Melon announced the third lineup of performing artists for the 17th Melon Music Awards, confirming G-Dragon's participation.
The artist has made a remarkable return this year, reaffirming his title as the "King of K-pop." He was recently awarded the Ok-gwan Order of Cultural Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and performed at the APEC Summit welcome banquet in Gyeongju.
G-Dragon also dominated Melon's streaming charts with his third full-length album Übermensch, surpassing one million streams within just four hours of release—the fastest record ever for a solo artist. Within 24 hours, Übermensch recorded 4.2 million cumulative plays and 271,300 streams in a single hour, setting multiple new records.
The title track TOO BAD also soared to No. 1 on Melon's "Top 100" within an hour, and eight tracks from the album ranked within the top 15 simultaneously—a first since the chart's latest reform.
Earlier this year, G-Dragon was recognized as Melon's most-streamed artist of the first half of 2025, with Home Sweet Home also earning the highest listener count.
A Melon representative stated, "G-Dragon has once again proven his overwhelming popularity through the Melon charts. Fans can look forward to a performance that embodies his unmatched class at MMA2025."
This year's Melon Music Awards, themed Play The Moment, celebrates every unforgettable connection created through music. Ticket sales will be available via Melon Ticket, with first-round reservations for Gold-tier members opening on November 24 and second-round sales on November 27.
Details regarding the Top 10 and category voting will be released sequentially through Melon's official event page.
