Haerin and Hyein of NewJeans have chosen to return to ADOR, expressing their intention to respect the court's ruling and uphold their exclusive contracts.
ADOR announced that both members had conveyed their decision after careful discussions with their families and the company. The timing aligns with the recent judgment in the lawsuit over the validity of their exclusive contracts. On October 30, the Seoul Central District Court ruled fully in favor of ADOR, rejecting more than ten major claims raised by NewJeans.
Court's Findings
The court stated that Min Hee-jin is not the "key man" of the exclusive contract and emphasized that she had intended to lead NewJeans into independence from HYBE. The ruling added that she had prepared in advance for public campaigns, complaints, and lawsuits to support that intention.
The court concluded that "the exclusive contract remains valid" and affirmed ADOR's legal status as NewJeans' management company.
ADOR's Position
ADOR shared that Haerin and Hyein have decided to honor the verdict and comply with their contracts. The company pledged full support to ensure both members can continue their entertainment activities smoothly.
ADOR also requested warm support from fans and asked the public to refrain from speculating about the members.
Future of NewJeans
NewJeans' overall group activities remain uncertain. The group initially stated they would challenge the validity ruling and insisted that returning to ADOR was not an option. Minji, Hanni, and Danielle have not yet submitted their appeals.
