K-pop artists are set to take the stage at Japan's biggest year-end music festival.
NHK announced the artist lineup for the 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, confirming ILIT, aespa, and &TEAM among this year's performers.
ILIT joins the show for the second consecutive year. For aespa, this marks their first appearance, and &TEAM will also make their debut on the program.
Kōhaku Uta Gassen is NHK's annual New Year's Eve special, featuring artists who made major impacts throughout the year.
All three groups have been active in Japan. ILIT earned RIAJ Gold certification with their film OST "Almond Chocolate," and debuted in September with their first Japanese single "Toki Yo Tomare," which topped Oricon and Billboard Japan rankings.
aespa became the first overseas female group to enter Tokyo Dome for two consecutive years and won "Best Song Asia" at the Music Awards Japan this year.
&TEAM topped Oricon's Daily Album Ranking with their Korean mini-album Back to Life, marking their second consecutive million-seller.
The 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen will air on December 31 at 7:20 p.m.
