A Japanese woman who forcibly kissed Jin of BTS has been indicted.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office announced that on November 12, they indicted a Japanese woman in her 50s without detention on charges of forcible harassment under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
The woman, identified as A, was accused of kissing Jin on the cheek during a "hug event" held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in June last year. A complaint was filed, prompting an investigation.
Songpa Police had initially booked A and requested her appearance, but the case was temporarily suspended this March. The woman later appeared voluntarily, and the investigation resumed.
Police concluded that A's actions constituted forcible harassment and transferred the case to prosecutors in May.
Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a full-group comeback, with a new album targeted for release next spring.
