Hyun Bin Unveils a Ruthless New Persona in 'Made in Korea'
by. ymchoi

Hyun Bin reveals a never-before-seen face of ambition in Disney+'s original series Made in Korea, stepping into a character who walks the razor's edge between light and darkness.

The series released Hyun Bin's character poster and teaser video on the 19th, offering a first glimpse of Baek Ki-tae — a Central Intelligence Agency section chief who leads a dangerous double life.

Wearing a covert earpiece, he declares coldly, "In this game, someone has to die. And it won't be me."

A Man of Power with Explosive Ambition

Baek Ki-tae stands at the heart of state authority while secretly orchestrating high-risk business operations.

"We're going to change the world. After all, the world has always been a battlefield for the powerful," he says, foreshadowing the raw ambition driving him to the extremes.

Set in 1970s Korea, Made in Korea follows Baek Ki-tae as he attempts to turn the nation itself into a profit engine — and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung) as he pursues him through a web of power, greed, and corruption.

Directed by Woo Min-ho

The series marks a new venture for director Woo Min-ho, known for Harbin, The Man Standing Next, and Inside Men. Made in Korea is his first-ever OTT series.

The show consists of six episodes, released in stages:

— Two episodes on December 24

— Two on December 31

— One on January 7, 2026

— One on January 14, 2026
