Chaeyoung of TWICE is suspending activities due to health concerns.
JYP Entertainment revealed that Chaeyoung had been resting after receiving a recent diagnosis of vasovagal syncope. The agency shared that she underwent consultations and detailed medical examinations, leading doctors to recommend a temporary break for additional recovery.
She will take sufficient time off through the end of the year, participating in scheduled events only minimally—or not at all—depending on her condition.
TWICE is currently on their THIS IS FOR world tour, but Chaeyoung will not join the remaining stops in Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
According to the agency, Chaeyoung feels deeply regretful about her absence and has expressed apologies to fans for missing schedules since late last month.
She first withdrew from the Kuala Lumpur tour stop on October 23 due to health issues, though the specific diagnosis had not been disclosed at the time. She also missed the THIS IS FOR "Is My Stage" fan event in Shanghai on November 14. The newly shared diagnosis confirms a longer-term hiatus.
The group will continue their world tour on November 22 at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan.
