Actress Song Ji-hyo is taking strong action in response to a threatening email directed at her agency.
According to Nexus ENM's legal representatives, the agency recently received an email alleging that a company linked to Song Ji-hyo's father was in a state of debt default. The message also included a mock-up of a protest banner.
The banner featured the phrase, "Famous celebrity's parent, known on TV for a passenger-ship business," seemingly aimed at publicly shaming the actress.
Her legal team stated that the banner was sent not to her father but directly to the agency, interpreting the act as an attempt to damage Song Ji-hyo's reputation and image by displaying it near the company.
They added that the intent could also be seen as disrupting the agency's normal business operations, calling the move "a clear criminal act that goes far beyond what society can tolerate."
The agency has vowed a firm response, emphasizing that no form of coercion or intimidation toward their actor or company will be overlooked. They warned that if the unlawful behavior continues, they will pursue all possible legal measures.
