BOYNEXTDOOR has officially proven their rising popularity in Japan, taking home the Best New Artist honor at one of the country's most iconic award shows.
The 67th Japan Record Awards announced this year's winners, naming the group among the standout new artists. First launched in 1959, the ceremony remains one of Japan's most respected music events, hosted by the Japan Composer's Association.
The group shared their gratitude, saying they feel honored to receive such a meaningful award and promised to continue showing steady growth.
Their momentum has been strong in Japan. In August, BOYNEXTDOOR released their second Japanese single BOYLIFE, which sold approximately 346,000 copies in its first week. The album also swept two weekly charts for the week of August 18–24 and later earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in September.
Their Korean releases continue to perform well, too. Mini 4th album No Genre and Mini 5th album The Action both earned Gold certification.
BOYNEXTDOOR is also scheduled to perform on the opening day of Japan's year-end festival Countdown Japan 25/26 from December 27 to 31.
