Hwasa and actor Park Jung-min's romantic synergy has sparked a major resurgence, sending her month-old song soaring back to the top of Korea's biggest music charts.

Hwasa released Good Goodbye on October 15. As of noon on November 22, the track claimed No.1 on Melon Top 100, Melon Hot 100, Bugs' real-time chart, and Genie's music video chart.

The song is a pop ballad rooted in pure emotion, carried solely by Hwasa's vocals without any performance elements. It captures the bittersweet feeling of a "good farewell" to someone once deeply loved. Hwasa wrote both the lyrics and melody herself.

Good Goodbye received strong reactions upon release thanks to its dramatic composition and Hwasa's expressive voice. Park Jung-min starred in the music video, crafting a cinematic romance reminiscent of a film scene.

The turning point came at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards on November 19. Hwasa performed alone onstage while Park Jung-min appeared holding a pair of red shoes, searching for her. He gazed at her singing, then joined her to dance before they shouted "Good Goodbye" together. The reactions from actresses in the audience quickly went viral.

Their first live stage together drove the song's chart resurgence, pushing it back to No.1 a month after release. On Melon Hot 100, the track even showed multiple sharp upward spikes.

The music video is trending again as well. It hit No.1 on YouTube Korea's daily trending music video chart and surpassed 42.56 million views as of today.

Hwasa shared her gratitude, saying Park Jung-min helped her fully express the emotion behind "good goodbye," adding that his presence made the performance overflow with feeling even amid her nervousness.
