Son Ye-jin has expressed her heartfelt gratitude after winning Best Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, sharing a rare two-shot with her husband, Hyun Bin.
On November 22, she wrote on Instagram that the past few days felt surreal, saying she still can't believe she received both the Best Actress Award and the Popular Star Award at the ceremony.
She also spoke warmly about her film No Other Choice, directed by Park Chan-wook. "It was my first movie in a long time and my first project after marriage, so I was worried. But with Director Park and senior actor Lee Byung-hun beside me, I just trusted myself to follow their lead," she wrote.
Son Ye-jin added that watching the film reminded her how fortunate Korean cinema is to have Director Park. She praised her co-stars—Lee Byung-hun, Lee Sung-min, Yum Hye-ran, and Park Hee-soon—for their masterful performances and unique screen presence.
She expressed deep affection for the entire cast and crew, saying she felt lucky to be the youngest on set. She attempted to thank the staff members one by one, noting that their hard work allowed her character to shine.
Closing her message, she said she was grateful to receive such a precious award and promised to continue delivering meaningful performances.
Son Ye-jin (No Other Choice) and Hyun Bin (Harbin) made history at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards on November 19, becoming the first married couple to win Best Actress and Best Actor in the same year. They also won the Popular Star Award.
No Other Choice dominated the ceremony with six trophies, including Best Film, Best Director (Park Chan-wook), Best Actress (Son Ye-jin), Best Supporting Actor (Lee Sung-min), Technical Award, and Best Music.
