Ong Seong-wu is set to bring first-love nostalgia back to the screen. Fantagio announced on November 24 that he will star in the KBS-2TV drama short project "Love: Track," taking the lead role in the episode titled "First Love Is a Shared Earphone."
"Love: Track" is KBS's new single-episode series continuing the legacy of "Drama Special," presenting ten different stories about love.
"First Love Is a Shared Earphone" is one of the episodes in the project. Set in 2010, it follows the story of the school's top student and a troublemaker whose unexpected meeting sparks a heartfelt connection.
Ong plays Ki Hyun-ha, a free-spirited high schooler who dreams of becoming a composer. After discovering the secret of Yeong-seo (played by Han Ji-hyun), he becomes her quiet supporter.
Ong has showcased a wide acting range through films such as Life Is Beautiful and Starlight Falls, as well as dramas including Moment of Eighteen and Strong Girl Nam-soon.
In July, he made his stage debut in the play Shakespeare in Love, earning praise for his delicate emotional delivery and strong interpretive skill.
His agency remarked, "Ong Seong-wu continues to prove his limitless acting across genres. Please look forward to how he brings this pure first-love story to life."
"First Love Is a Shared Earphone" airs on December 14 at 10:50 p.m.
