"A brand-new RIIZE style." (Shotaro)
RIIZE makes their comeback on November 24 with the new single "Fame." The group will hold a showcase the same day at 5 p.m. at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul.
The title track "Fame" is a rage-style hip-hop song — a genre RIIZE is tackling for the first time. The lyrics express their ideal as "emotional pop artists," emphasizing that what they seek is not fame itself, but the sharing of emotion and love. Fans can also expect an explosive, high-intensity performance.
The album includes two B-sides: "Something's in the Water," an R&B-pop track, and "Sticky Like," a pop-rock song.
RIIZE 'Fame' Q&A
Q. First impressions of "Fame"? How should listeners enjoy it?
Shotaro: It was something RIIZE had never done before, so it felt fresh — cool and free. I hope people enjoy it as "a new RIIZE style." And definitely watch the performance with it!
Eunseok: It felt slightly dark but powerful. If I had to describe it in one word: "inner self." I hope listeners reflect on what truly matters to them.
Q. Favorite part of "Fame"?
Sungchan: My favorite line is the part Sohee sings — "I just want a love that's deep and true." His voice captures the emotion perfectly.
Wonbin: There's a line, "How do you feel looking at me now?" I ask BRIIZE "How was your day?" so often that it stuck with me.
Q. What does "Fame" mean to you personally?
Sohee: Fame should come from being my true self — only then does it mean something. And it's never something you can earn alone.
Anton: Of course fame is important, but I chose this path to live for my dreams and myself. Fame will follow naturally. Being in RIIZE with great members and meeting more and more people who recognize us still feels amazing. Our title track says love matters more than fame — and for me, that love is BRIIZE, music, family, my team, and myself. I hope everyone finds their own meaning in this song.
Q. Pick the "killing part" of the performance. And how would you rank the difficulty of "Fame," "Fly Up," and "Siren"?
Shotaro: Many will be curious — difficulty is: "Fame" > "Siren" > "Fly Up." "Fame" requires keeping the hip-hop groove tight and hitting every sound precisely. The chorus choreography is also complex. The final dance break? We absolutely crushed it. Please look forward to it!
Wonbin: The last dance break is literally "the end." Difficulty for me is "Fame" > "Fly Up" > "Siren." Compared to "Fame," "Siren" feels simpler and slower.
Q. When do the B-sides fit best?
Sungchan: Imagining BRIIZE's day… "Something's in the Water" fits a calm night under the stars, getting ready for sleep. "Sticky Like" suits a fresh morning.
Anton: I actually think the exact opposite! (laughs) Start the day with "Something's in the Water" and end your commute home with "Sticky Like."
Q. What moment looked coolest while filming the trailer or MV? And what thoughts came up during recording?
Eunseok: The classic car on set looked amazing. The shots beside it — even I have to admit they looked cool. My low-tone rap part was a style I hadn't tried much before, so capturing that vibe was hard but helped me grow.
Sohee: I tried to empty my mind while recording. No distracting thoughts — just staying relaxed. As for the MV, the outro dance break is definitely the most stylish part.
Q. Thoughts on releasing a new single, and a message to BRIIZE?
Shotaro: It's been a while since "ODYSSEY." Thank you, BRIIZE, for waiting! We prepared with the mindset of showing you something new and giving back your love. Please enjoy "NEW RIIZE" a lot!
Eunseok: We're back with a different mood through "Fame." Preparing it felt fresh and fun. I hope BRIIZE loves it too.
Sungchan: BRIIZE! Through "Fame," you'll discover new sides of RIIZE — and of me. Thanks for making this year happy. Let's make more memories next year. Always grateful!
Wonbin: I'm excited and curious about the reactions to our new sound. We worked really hard, so I hope you enjoy it. Love to BRIIZE — keep going~~
Sohee: The most precious thing is BRIIZE. I'd give everything for you. That's how much I want only you…
Anton: BRIIZE! I'm happy and excited to greet you with another new look. Thank you for always supporting us. I hope these songs feel like gifts. Let's wrap up 2025 healthy and happy — and run to the end together!
