Ju Ji-hoon and Ha Ji-won are joining forces in a gripping political noir. Genie TV unveiled the main cast lineup for its original series "CLIMAX," written and directed by Lee Ji-won, featuring Ju Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Cha Joo-young, and Oh Jung-se in key roles.
"CLIMAX" centers on prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who plunges into a powerful political cartel in a ruthless battle for survival as he seeks to seize the highest authority in Korea.
Ju Ji-hoon plays Bang Tae-seop, a star prosecutor who rises to fame after marrying top actress Chu Sang-ah, portrayed by Ha Ji-won. Ju is expected to lead the drama with a blend of charisma and sharp intensity.
Ha Ji-won returns to television for the first time in four years since Curtain Call, taking on the role of Chu Sang-ah — a once-famous actress whose glory faded after marriage. She is poised to showcase a renewed presence and fresh charm.
Nana joins as Hwang Jung-won, a discreet informant operating at Tae-seop's side. With strong emotional expression, she will bring depth to a character holding the key to the cartel's secrets.

Cha Joo-young portrays Lee Yang-mi, the second wife of the chairman of WR Group, Korea's third-largest conglomerate. Her transformation is expected to heighten the drama's tension.
Oh Jung-se appears as Kwon Jong-wook, the ambitious first son of WR Group, who is driven by obsession as he aims for succession. His performance is set to anchor the drama's climactic moments.
The production team noted, "Director Lee Ji-won, known for detailed mise-en-scène and exceptional storytelling, teams up with a cast of powerhouse actors. Their intertwined desires and choices will unfold into a striking, high-impact narrative."
"CLIMAX" will premiere next year on Genie TV and will also air as ENA's Monday–Tuesday drama.
