Stray Kids will take the stage as a headliner at one of Brazil's biggest music festivals.
JYP Entertainment announced on the 26th that the group will headline Rock in Rio on September 11 next year in Rio de Janeiro.
Rock in Rio is one of the world's largest music festivals, originating in Rio in 1985 and expanding to Lisbon, Madrid, and Las Vegas.
Stray Kids will be the first K-pop act to headline the event—a stage graced by global icons such as Queen, Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Muse.
The group has already led major festivals including Lollapalooza Paris, I-Days, and British Summer Time Hyde Park. Their world tour dominATE, which wrapped last month, filled stadiums across the globe. They also held a tour stop in Brazil this April.
They return to Rio after about a year and five months. Their previous show drew roughly 55,000 fans, raising expectations for another powerhouse performance.
Stray Kids released two albums this year. Their fourth studio album KARMA, dropped in August, topped the Billboard 200 on the chart dated September 6—making history as the first act ever to send seven consecutive works to No.1 since their 2022 release ODDINARY.
Their recent release, the SKZ-IT TAPEDO IT, also delivered strong results, hitting No.1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart for four straight days.
