A mega-hit webtoon with over two billion views is making its return. The sequel to DARK MOON: The Blood Altar is launching worldwide.
HYBE announced on the 26th that its new webtoon DARK MOON: Two Moons will debut simultaneously in six regions: Korea, North America, Japan, LATAM, Indonesia, and Thailand.
DARK MOON: Two Moons arrives two years after the completion of DARK MOON: The Blood Altar. The series once again collaborates with ENHYPEN and tells a fantasy high-teen romance.
The original series gained massive global traction. With its immersive universe and high-quality artwork, it topped Sunday Webtoon charts for 32 consecutive weeks in Germany and 10 straight weeks in Spanish-speaking regions.
The new storyline follows events after the previous installment, which ended with the appearance of Selen—a mysterious girl who looks identical to the heroine Suha.
The plot connects ancient desires for power with long-hidden secrets surrounding Suha. The rivalry between the vampire boys who guard her and the werewolf boys who challenge them adds even more tension.
Fan reaction is already explosive. After the announcement post went live on DARK MOON X (formerly Twitter), the keyword "DARK MOON" ranked No.2 and No.3 on Korea's real-time trends.
A representative expressed hope that DARK MOON: Two Moons will "capture global fans once again with its polished storytelling and deep immersion," while noting that familiar lore will continue alongside new characters and fresh developments.
DARK MOON: Two Moons will begin serialization on November 28 at 10 p.m., releasing one episode each week on Naver Webtoon's Saturday lineup.
