Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun are teaming up with renowned director Ahn Pan-seok for a new Genie TV original drama titled Love Doctor. The casting announcement was made on December 1.
Set in a university robotics lab, the series follows graduate students navigating a romance that is equal parts spicy, bitter, and sweet. Choo Young-woo plays Park Min-jae, a former swimming athlete turned PhD candidate who lost his right leg in high school due to illness, forcing him to give up his sports career.
He shared his excitement about joining Ahn Pan-seok's project, saying he is preparing with a more academic mindset and looks forward to meeting Min-jae through the work.
Kim So-hyun stars as Im Yoo-jin, a master's student struggling with career confusion as she approaches graduation. Her world begins to shift when she meets Min-jae and discovers a new path in robotics.
The drama is drawing early attention as another emotional hit in the making, following Ahn Pan-seok's acclaimed works such as Graduation and Something in the Rain.
Love Doctor is slated to premiere next year on ENA and KT Genie TV.
