A gripping thriller has arrived, pairing Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun as a murder suspect and a killer bound together by a dangerous lie.
Every frame tightens the tension — from trembling muscles to shifting gazes, the two actors turn subtle expressions into vital clues.
They're joined by a powerhouse cast: Park Hae-soo as the prosecutor pursuing them, and Jin Sun-kyu as the lawyer protecting Kim Go-eun's character. The ensemble completes a formidable performance lineup.
The Netflix original series Price of Confession held its screening and press conference on December 3 at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall, attended by director Lee Jung-hyo, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, and Park Hae-soo.

Two Women, One Lie
The series follows a dark crime narrative. Jeon Do-yeon plays Yoon-soo, a mild-mannered art teacher with a young daughter who loses her husband overnight and is suddenly accused of his murder.
Kim Go-eun stars as Mo-eun, an enigmatic psychopathic dental assistant who becomes a convicted killer after murdering her clinic's director couple with drugs. Together, they devise a plan built on a false confession that shakes the justice system.
Jeon Do-yeon's Deep Dive
Jeon joined the project without even reading the script.
"I had been craving a thriller," she said. "Just hearing 'a story of two women' and 'thriller' was enough for me to decide."
She reinterpreted Yoon-soo with added emotional depth — exploring her orphaned background, her longing for family, and the heightened sensitivity to others' judgment she wanted to portray.
Kim Go-eun's Bold Transformation
Kim chose the project because of Jeon Do-yeon.
"As soon as I heard I'd be acting opposite her, I didn't hesitate," she said. "I told the director I would give everything to this role."
To capture Mo-eun's unreadable nature, Kim cut her hair into an extreme short style that even startled the director.
She leaned into a minimal-expression performance: "Even behind a blank face, I wanted emotions to flow subtly — a character whose inner world is impossible to grasp."

Reunion After a Decade
The actresses reunite ten years after Memories of the Sword. Jeon admired Kim's growth, saying, "Watching her this time, I felt like I was the only one who hadn't grown. She's become such an incredible actor."
Kim shared that she tried to support Jeon on set: "In the past, she took care of me. This time, I wanted to take care of her."
A Director Confident in Their Chemistry
Director Lee said, "From casting alone, I knew the moment these two met, the game was over. Their chemistry exceeded every expectation."
He also highlighted the visual design of the series: "We embedded artistic tricks throughout the spaces. Just the contrast between the interrogation room and the prison visually reflects the characters' emotional shifts."
Park Hae-soo hinted at a complex dynamic with Jeon Do-yeon's character:
"I approached it like a melodrama," he said. "I thought a lot about the possessiveness that forms when a rigid prosecutor becomes obsessed with a suspect."

A Fierce Ensemble
Kim Go-eun emphasized the team's dedication: "Everyone — the director and all the senior actors — pushed each scene to its fullest. I hope viewers enjoy the result."
Jeon Do-yeon added, "Please look forward to the chemistry not only with Kim Go-eun but also with Park Hae-soo, Jin Sun-kyu, and Lee Mi-do. See what our performances have created."
Price of Confession premieres on December 5.
