Zootopia 2 (directed by Jared Bush) is showing overwhelming box-office power, topping Korea's weekend box office for the second consecutive week.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing data, Zootopia 2 attracted 1,252,891 viewers over the Dec. 5–7 weekend, bringing its total to 3,931,449 admissions.
The film has effectively taken over the Korean box-office landscape. Its revenue-based market share has reached 68.9%, and it is expected to maintain strong momentum until the release of Avatar: The Fire and Ash.
At No. 2 is Upstairs Neighbors, directed by and starring Ha Jung-woo. Since its release on December 3, the film drew 129,650 viewers over the same period.
Other titles on the chart include Jujutsu Kaisen the Movie: Shibuya Incident X Culling Game at No. 3 with 121,699 viewers, and Five Nights at Freddy's 2, which ranked No. 4 with 65,489 viewers.
Meanwhile, Avatar: The Fire and Ash (directed by James Cameron) currently leads the advance-ticket chart (as of Dec. 8) and is set for release on December 17.
