Baekho will begin his mandatory military service as an active-duty Army soldier.
His label, Team Baekho, announced on December 8 that he will enter the Army Training Center on the 29th, where he will complete basic military training before serving on active duty. There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, as the site is shared with many soldiers and their families. The agency asked fans to refrain from visiting.
They added, "Please continue to show love and encouragement to Baekho until he returns healthy. We will also provide full support for him."
Baekho debuted in 2012 as a member of the boy group NU'EST and transitioned into a solo career following the group's disbandment in 2022. His solo discography includes No Rules, Elevator, and Love or Die. Last month, he released the single Rush Mode, marking his first project under his independent label, Team Baekho, and signaling his determination to move forward with new music.
Baekho is set to appear on the tvN variety show Health Farmer on December 21.
