Two Korean films — No Other Choice (directed by Park Chan-wook) and KPop Demon Hunters (directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans) — have been nominated for major categories at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.
The Golden Globes announced the full list of nominees for the 83rd ceremony on December 8 (KST), unveiling contenders across 28 categories.
No Other Choice secured a nomination for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy, competing against Blue Moon, Bougainvillea, Marty Supreme, Nouvelle Vague, and One Battle After Another.
The film also landed a spot in Best Non-English Language Film, contending with titles such as It Was Only an Accident, Sentimental Value, and Sirat.
Actor Lee Byung Hun received a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy, joining a heavyweight lineup that includes Ethan Hawke, George Clooney, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
KPop Demon Hunters earned three nominations, including Best Animated Feature, where it will compete against Zootopia 2 and Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.
The film was also nominated for Best Original Song and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 11 next year.
